The productivity paradox

This is it folks, I’m going to set up Twitter so you can all see what I get up to day-to-day and minute-by-minute of my busy working life.

All I need to do is figure out how to automatically tweet, every fifteen minutes, “Bored. I think I’ll visit the fridge.”
‘Spending more quality time with my fridge’ is my personal euphemism for freelancing from home. Whereas ‘freelancing from home’ tends to be a euphemism for being unemployed.

You can tell the difference because when I really have work to do, I find lots of ways to run away from it; like going to my fridge, going to the shop to buy stuff for the fridge, getting my hair cut, mowing the lawn and other fussings about the garden etc. Or writing this blog. When I’m really ploughed under, I’ve even been known to find projects that involve working with concrete.

But when I don’t have anything to do, I tend to hide away which looks like I’m busy.

Now you know, and now I really do need to get on. Pity there are some cold cooked sausages making such a distracting racket in the kitchen.
